As the deadline for the withdrawal of US troops draws near, Iraqis are increasingly demanding the prosecution of those responsible for killing hundreds of civilians in Southern Iraq.
Many families who lost their loved ones due to the violence stemming from the 2003 US-led invasion have filed lawsuits against the occupying forces.
This Father lost three of his sons from bomb that was dropped from a US aircraft.Another one of his sons lost his eyesight and yet another one lost his leg. The father spoke to Press TV of the terrible ordeal his family has gone through.
The glitter of the bomb dropped by the U.S. aircraft was the last light that Jumaa saw. He now lives in total darkness after losing his sight.
The family's lawyer vowed to push the case until it takes its natural course in Iraqi courts.
The lawsuit against occupying forces took a dynamic turn when a group of political figures hailed the move and called for the punishment of those who are responsible for such war crimes.
Experts say the US occupation will face increased public and political pressure in the coming months as more civilians continue to file lawsuits against the unlawful killing of innocent people.
