Shahristani directs financial departments in the ministry to speed up the preparation of next year's budget

BAGHDAD / obelisk: the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Hussain al-Shahristani, on Wednesday, officials in the financial departments of universities and formations of the ministry to speed up the preparation of next year's budget in 2015, taking into consideration the emergency conditions experienced by the country.
The Minister of Education at a meeting of financial managers in all Iraqi universities and the various formations ministry that "the country is passing through difficult financial situations due to lack of oil revenues and increase the burden of expenses due to the security situation," referring to the need to prepare the next year's budget boundaries possible.
Shahristani stressed that "the Iraqi government is continuing the process of liberalization of areas in some provinces, but it is not expected to begin study at universities in the province of Nineveh, which requires that the budget be realistic in their estimates of possible limits."
He called al-Shahristani, to "focus on the unfinished projects in order to terminate them properly, as well as work on according to sound and thoughtful and progressive universities in the creation of novel procedures."
He noted the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research "The ministry is moving to transfer the building Girls University project to Euphrates, instead of the capital Baghdad, where he will begin the establishment of this university gradually, as will remain colleges that was scheduled to be a part of the University of the girls intact."
For his part, the Director of Finance in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research happiest goes that "the pressure on the ministry's expenditure requires to prepare its budget, according to what has been spent in the year 2014, or in accordance with the allocations in 2013".
He goes to that "more than 80% of the ministry's budget is salaries and compensation of employees and faculty, while the remainder is a goods and services and investment expenses."
He called on rich financial managers in Iraqi universities to "put controls contribute to the control of the student grant to cover eligible students exclusively."
