Resolution No. (62)
based on what passed the House of Representatives in accordance with the provisions of Article (61 / I) of the Constitution, based on the provisions of paragraph (V / a) of Article One hundred and thirty-eight of the Constitution.
The Presidency Council decided in its meeting held on 26 / 11/2007
issued the following law:
No. (63) for the year 2007
Law of
the first amendment to the law of the Iraqi Central Bank issued Order No. (56) for the year 2004 by the Coalition Provisional Authority (dissolved)
Article (1):
The text of paragraph (1) of Article (13) of the Iraqi Central Bank Law, issued Order No. (56) for the year 2004 by the Coalition Provisional Authority (now defunct) and replaced by the following:
1. (a) The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq the rank of minister to propose the Prime Minister and the endorsement of the House of Representatives and be experienced and competent in Chirfah, financial or economic affairs.
( B) The Governor deputies are designated the rank of Undersecretary of the Ministry proposal to him and the recommendation of the Council of Ministers and the approval of the House of Representatives, and be experienced and competent in Chirfah affairs or financial or economic.
© the governor and his two deputies and members of the Board retains the others provided for in Article (11) of the Act and the jobs of their membership in the Board of Directors for a period of five (5) years, subject to renewal.
Article (2):
This law shall take effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Reasons In
order to determine the degree of Iraqi Central Bank Governor and his deputies and retaining members of the Board of Directors their jobs and their membership in the Council for a period of five (5) years, initiated this law.
