Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said Kirkuk administration will participate in any negotiations or agreements held with the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Mahdi said during a visit to the oil field west of Kirkuk, Baker said there are three wells were set (Daash) where fire and work is underway to extinguish it.
The minister announced that the production of oil from Kirkuk oil did not exceed 200 thousand barrels per day during the last ten years and we are going to work to increase production to 800 thousand barrels per day. He said the oil minister said he would do his best to send sufficient quantities of petroleum products to Kirkuk, after falling production due to stop the Baiji refinery.
Meanwhile, the oil police headquarters in Kirkuk confirmed it is strengthening its capacity to acquire equipment to help protect oil installations. He said Faid pimp energy Police Lt. Gen. Hamid Abdullah, said that there is coordination at the highest levels with the Peshmerga forces in this regard.
