Shaways: need serious steps to improve the country's investment

{Baghdad: Euphrates News} Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Nuri Shaways said Iraq needs serious steps to improve the country's investment in Iraq. "
Shaways said at the first International Conference on investment attended by correspondent {forat news} that "financial corruption and administrative system, deployed across the State services, in addition to the lack of specialized competencies in investment circles due to sectarian caused congressmen negatively effect the investment for the country."
"The lack of cooperation by the relevant bodies, and lack of strategic vision and lack of essential materials and structures appropriate to the needs of investment althitih have caused the deterioration of the investment", pointing to the deteriorating security situation and the proliferation of criminal gangs, which has a direct impact on the investment side. "
He said that "in light of the country's public data and to raise the level of investment we found that Iraq needs serious steps to improve investment, providing a favorable environment for foreign investment, in addition to the involvement of the private sector and combat bureaucracy and increased cooperation between the Executive and the legislature of the country, to develop investment to serve the country."
He noted that "the new steps to be followed to improve investment, will be using electronic communications to speed up completion of personal effects, and solving the problems of land allocation, and a greater role for local governments and the involvement of the private sector effectively."
He stressed the need to support and encourage the private sector to work with the public, and to the continued development of investment legislation, primarily the Iraqi investment law, and benefit from the experience of other countries in the fight against financial and administrative corruption in MBR and influence the development of investment business. "
But Shaways: it is necessary to take advantage of surveys and plans for investment and encourage investors to work in Iraq, and the announcement of the investment map by encouraging Government banks to provide full support to the investors, and support private banks, to handle all aspects of SOA that would upgrade and rehabilitate the infrastructure investment plan fully, said organizing the relations between investment and investment bodies throughout the world, and the spirit of investment culture in society ".
