US Devotes More Resources to Iraq

The United States military has repositioned and deployed additional military resources to Iraq in the wake of two major events.
The brutal murder of a Jordanian fighter pilot by the Islamic State (IS, ISIS, ISIL) has sent another shock through the international community. As a result, the United Arab Emirates has withdrawn itself from participating in air strike sorties over Iraq.
Following these events, the United States has redesigned its strategy for combat search and rescue operations, so that pilots could be recovered more effectively and with a greater chance of survival.
Discussion amongst members of the American Congress about the issue of the Islamic State (IS) has increased since the start of the New Year.
