Progress towards the center and the region deal

Iraqi Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi revealed that the government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan region is making progress on the road to an agreement on crude oil exports, after the close of the deal because of the collapse of the Kurdish threats to halt oil shipments to protest the non-payment of money for them.
Abdul-Mahdi said that "the agreement with the Kurdish government remains ,, adding that the two sides would gain as a result of implementation of the agreement in December / December, where the ship Kurds whereby oil from their areas and Kirkuk field under the control of Baghdad in return for receiving funds from the central government in Baghdad." .
But Baghdad paid a fraction of the amount agreed upon for the Kurdish authorities, saying that the oil exported quantity was not expected to be produced and exported.
Under the agreement, the Kurdish regional government agreed to export 550 thousand barrels of oil per day through Turkey from the fields and from Kirkuk, that is done through marketing governmental body affiliated to Baghdad.
In contrast, Baghdad has vowed to return to the payment of funds to the Kurds after the interruption of the beginning of 2014, as punishment for the area on the steps taken by the export of oil independently of that.
Abdul-Mahdi said that the government marketing body get three hundred thousand barrels per day in the Turkish port of Ceyhan, ie, up to half of the amount agreed upon, but the amount will increase.
He explained that by the end of the year production will reach 550 thousand barrels per day on average.
