Turkey to drill for oil in Iraq

BAGHDAD / obelisk announced Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz, on Monday, Turkey Stnaqb for oil in Iraq's Qandil region, as explained that exploration will begin after the end of the peace negotiations conducted by the Turkish government with the PKK. Yildiz said in a statement reported by "Reuters" agency, said that "Turkey Stnaqb for oil in the Qandil area of Iraq," adding that "the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) move towards disarmament would pave the way for the exploration process." Yildiz said, "Turkey has the patches you want excavated at the foothills of the Qandil mountains, a remote corner of the Kurdish region in northern Iraq is dominated by the PKK, which has engaged in peace negotiations with the Turkish authorities to end the ongoing insurgency 30 years ago in Turkey." The prime minister Haider al-Abadi, called on Sunday (January 18, 2015) to develop a "road map" to resolve outstanding issues with Turkey, especially in areas of oil and water, calling on the Turkish government to encourage the country's companies to invest in Iraq, as he emphasized the Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz his country seeks to resolve all outstanding problems.
