Iraq looking with the IMF to provide urgent aid
Finance Minister Hoshiyar Zebari said on Tuesday that Baghdad is currently in talks with the International Monetary Fund regarding provision of emergency aid.
However, he added Zebari told reporters on the sidelines of the annual joint meeting of Arab financial institutions in Kuwait "has not taken a final decision yet."
The Iraqi parliament has approved a budget of 119 trillion dinars ($ 105 billion) for 2015 and expects a deficit of 25 trillion dinars in the shadow of war being waged against Iraq terrorists organization Daash and falling oil prices.
It is expected that the government deficit financed through treasury bills and government bonds and borrowing from local banks.
In addition, Iraq plans to withdraw funds from the IMF through its assigned SDR will create a tax on imported cars and cards mobile phone and online.
