PM: Recent Military Gains in Iraq Paving Way for ISIL's Demise
4/26/2015
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi underlined that the recent victories of the Iraqi army and popular forces against the Takfiri terrorists have set the stage for a final annihilation of the ISIL.
"The victories gained in Iraq indicate the demise of ISIL," Al-Sumeriya news website quoted al-Abadi as saying on Saturday.
He underlined that the time has arrived for expelling ISIL from Iraq.
The Iraqi prime minister, meantime, pointed to Anbar province's refugees, and thanked the residents of Baghdad, al-Heleh and al-Nasseriya as well as the residents of other provinces for hosting and aiding Anbar refugees.
Al-Anbar province has been the scene of insurgency since summer 2014 when ISIL terrorists started massive attacks on cities, towns and the villages of Nineveh, Anbar and Salahuddin provinces, occupying Mosul and Tikrit.
The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.
Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.
ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime
