Council Basra: Baghdad linger application of the new tariff

Basra provincial council said that the General Customs of the Ministry of Finance has decided to postpone the application of the new tariff. The Chairman of the Committee of border crossings in the provincial council Morteza lipodeca in a statement singled out by the Radio tow the parliamentary Finance Committee today hosted the General Customs Director and reached after talks to postpone the application of that law with the Commission stipulated that in the event of activation of that law applied in all border crossing points in Iraq, including Kurdistan Regional outlets. And between lipodeca the pressures exerted by the Basra Governorate Council was the main reason behind the new tariff stop working because of their negative impact on the various types of goods rise in local markets. Basra has seen a series of demonstrations today in the ports of Umm Qasr Al Khor in addition to the demonstration in front of the local government building denouncing the new tariff and called for their abolition.
