The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hussein Amir Abdollahian confirmed: “Iran supports a united, independent and federal Iraq together, on the basis of the Constitution and Iran supports Iraq in its fight against terrorism.
/ Persia / news agency quoted Abdollahian as saying in a statement that: “Iran strongly supports Iraq in the fight against terrorism, and we offer our help for all its components, including the Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites.”
He added: “We believe that Iraq’s security is the key to the security of the region, and that any neglect towards terrorist movements in Syria and Yemen will leave a negative impact on Iraq and the region,” calling on all countries in the region, including the Gulf States, Iraq, and Syria to thinks about the collective security for the region. / End
