Kuwait is seeking to change the Islamic education curricula

BAGHDAD / Obelisk: Kuwaiti Ministry of Education began to change the Islamic education curricula for all school levels, despite the controversy that has caused this step between supporters and opponents of the new orientation of the ministry.
The Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education, Bader Al-Essa, "The ministry began a review of all curricula, including Islamic education, to counter extremism and vibration system of values."
He added Al-Essa, in remarks within the Kuwaiti National Assembly, said that "educational research, curriculum and technical guidance sector, has changed the purification of Islamic education materials at all levels of education, and will focus on the consecration of moderation and affiliation, peaceful coexistence and human rights."
The Kuwaiti government is seeking to strengthen national unity, in the Gulf country, which constitute a sectarian, tribal and social Tnaiyate a major concern for the authorities, which monitors the impact of regional unrest on the population.
Supporters say the change curricula of officials and deputies of the National Assembly, said that the new curriculum should lead to the lack of students occupancy infidels and political matters and the need to focus on national unity and rejection of hatred and sectarianism and remove everything related to the curriculum of atonement.
