Najib: Erbil seeks to increase oil exports to meet its obligations

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - Kurdistan Alliance MP Najiba Najib stressed that the Kurdistan region will try to increase the amount of oil exported in order to meet its obligations to the federal government.
She said Najib's (IMN) that "there is a concerted effort by the Kurdistan Regional Government to abide by the agreement the oil agreement with the federal government," adding "any shortfall in exported quantities will be compensated for the center, as well as the presence of an error by the Federal Ministry of Oil in non-registered million and five a hundred thousand barrels within the Muslim government quantities. "
She added that "the federal government sent to the Kurdistan region, the amount of 488 billion dinars, and was supposed to send 17% stake under the federal budget law."
Najib explained that "all the amounts sent by the federal government are not enough to pay the region," noting that "the federal government did not say so far that it will compensate for the shortfall if the region provide liquidity."
He stressed the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary member Razak Mahabs earlier, that the KRG has demanded the federal government amounts exceed the scheduled oil according to the Convention
