Kurdish call for UN, US, British support to press Baghdad on oil issues

Arbil/ Iraq TradeLink: It is expected that new Baghdad-Arbil oil wrangling will start following the meeting of the Kurdish Premier Njirvan Barzani with UN representative to Iraq Jan Kubis. Premier Barzani called the UN, US administration and British government to press Baghdad to "abide by joint oil agreement". Barzani expressed his satisfaction of Baghdad's "non-abidance" with oil agreement signed, earlier, between the two sides. "This agreement was reached with the cooperation of the UN, US and British sides", Barzani disclosed. The Kurdish side re-iterated its stands to solve the problems through "joint dialogue", but threatened to have "other means" if Baghdad remained on its stands
