Barzani: The independence of Kurdistan is of KDP priorities

Shafaq News / Security Council adviser of Kurdistan Region, Masrur Barzani stressed that Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) is struggling since its establishment for the rights of the Kurdish people to independence, and with that its party is working hard to achieve this goal, he stressed that the region needs unity.
KDP site quoted Barzani in an interview in a program on Kurdistan satellite channel , which is scheduled to display the interview on Saturday evening, saying that the issue of the independence of Kurdistan is an important issue therefore all the Kurdish political forces need to unit .
KDP confirmed that it had and still struggled since its establishment and throughout its history for the independence of Kurdistan, noting that Kurds like all other peoples of the earth have the right to self-determination, therefore, this issue has been and still a priority of the political action of the party and will remain so.
Barzani called on political forces and Kurdish parties to make this issue a political platform for their work to be able to restore this right to the people of Kurdistan.
