The scarcity of funds stood hundreds of projects in Diyala

Twilight news/Diyala confirmed the postponement by 496 of the total 600 unfinished project for next year because of a lack of liquidity.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Diyala Council Ali Zaid Al-daini told twilight news that delayed the work by 496 projects across sectors for next year while securing the necessary funding, referring to grant advances to contractors to complete projects that exceed the rates of achievement of 70 percent.
And among the province's budget lauded this year amounting to 151 billion dollars allocated to complete ongoing projects, pointing out that completing conservation projects dependent on increased financial allocations for next year.
"We have a lot of projects approved by the competent authorities and their implementation was discontinued due to the financial crisis."
Economists attributed the reasons for the reluctance of some projects in Diyala to the intersection with some ministries and weak local corporate capabilities and experience in addition to implementing financial and administrative corruption and the absence of a structured sequence of projects by priority add administrative reasons related to weakness experienced technical personnel and granting companies not one-time projects which impede project delivery according to the required specifications and specified durations.
