BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network - (IMN) Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc announced the failure to reach any specific agreement so far among the five Kurdish parties in spite of a six-day stay at the end of the mandate of the regional president Massoud Barzani, revealing the launch of three proposals to contain the political crisis in Kurdistan. And opposes the President of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, and the party led by (KDP) an amendment to the presidency of the Kurdistan region, which was the law allows to choose the president directly without the intervention of Parliament of the region. The bloc member Jamal Panthers for (IMN), "The five Kurdish parties until now did not reach any agreement that would resolve the dispute over the presidency of the Kurdistan region despite the survival of a few days at the end of the mandate of the president of the province from a constitutional standpoint," revealing "three options on the table Currently one of the main parties. "
Panthers added that "the current point of contention between the five parties relating to the powers of president of the region, and the proposal to the Democratic Party that the region's president, Massoud Barzani, to continue his job for another two years the same powers and being amend the constitution and define the powers of the President of the next region that for Attbaiq amendments during the next two years."
"The proposal includes the Kurdistan Islamic Union regional president continued his job for the next two years and during the two years being the process of amending the Constitution is applicable in the next elections."
The Panthers continued to "change the block with the parties of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) submitted a proposal and stick with it to minimize and is now being curtailed the powers of the President of the Region with no objection to assume the post of Massoud Barzani, president of the province."
Massoud Barzani, and the face of last week's message to the people of Kurdistan, where political supporters criticized his opponents to make a constitutional amendment to transfer the system of government in the region from the presidential to parliamentary.
Barzani said that his vision out of the crisis is to reject any coup against the consensus, all parties and blocs in parliament urgently resolve the matter, and in the event of failure to resolve the problems we will resort to early elections.
