French President assures al-Abadi his country’s solidarity with Iraq

The French President Francois Hollande stressed in a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Thursday his country’s solidarity with Iraq in the face of terrorist attacks.
A statement by the Office of al-Abadi said that the Prime Minister received today a telephone call from French President offered his condolences to the Government and people of Iraq for the terrorist bombings that targeted a market crowded with citizens in Jamila area, and expressed France’s solidarity with Iraq in front of the ordeal.
Holland pointed to the outstanding efforts made by Iraq in the fight against terrorism, noting that France, which is part of the international coalition to fight gangs of Daash “will spare no effort to provide support for Iraq in this war.”
He also praised the reforms conducted by the Prime Minister in Iraq.
Abadi in turn gave his thanks to France’s condolences for the terrorist incident in Jamila area in which a number of innocent people were killed. / End
