UN condemns ISIS executing former candidates for parliament in Mosul

Shafaq News / UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) condemned on Saturday strongly ISIS executing former three candidates for parliament in Mosul, the center of Nineveh province.
Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq , Georgi Posten demanded in the Iraqi government’s statement to exert more effort to bring those responsible for this crime to justice and expressed his dismay for what he called as “brutal” murder against three Women “who were executed without any other reason just because they are candidates in the last election “.
Motahedoun coalition under the leadership of Osama al-Nujaifi announced last week , the execution of three candidates from the coalition in Mosul by ISIS.
The coalition said in a statement, that he is following “with deep concern the acts of barbarism and criminal acts carried out by ISIS terrorist organization that continue on death approach and destruction to take Mosul as an arena for their crimes, and execute three of the women from Mosul who are; Lamia Fadel , Iklas Kanaan and Isra Thanon by firing squad. ”
