Undersecretary of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and public municipalities Rashid Dara, Wednesday, the ministry introduced a section for investment for the purpose of providing decent housing for all citizens after it was previously reserved for employees.
Rashid said that "the ministry introduced a section for investment in all provinces in order to provide housing units appropriate for the Iraqi people," noting that "the ministry created the investment atmosphere to help the High Authority for Investment and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers for the release of sales for all citizens."
Rashid added that "The ministry previously been allocated these units to employees only, but now became for all citizens", adding that "the ministry is continuing to do hold such similar steps for the purpose of providing adequate housing for citizens."
It is noteworthy that Iraq suffers from a severe housing crisis due to the growing number of Iraq's population relative to the number of residential complexes, in addition to the inability of citizens with limited income from the construction of its own housing units because of the high cost of land and construction materials.
