Iraq signs agreements and gas fields Mansourieh Ciba June 5
Said a senior official of Iraq's oil ministry said on Wednesday that Iraq will sign final agreements for the development of gas fields and Mansourieh Ceiba on the fifth of June.
Abdul-Mehdi al-Amidi, Director, Office of Licensing and Contracts oil ministry, told Reuters that an agreement in principle with the South Korean Kogas to develop Akkas will sign on Wednesday at noon local time (0900 GMT).
Amidi said, "The Cabinet has approved the agreements and Mansourieh Ciba on May 31 and identified the fifth of June as the date of the signing of the agreements end."
"The delegation of the Ministry of Oil Kogas is now ... hard up to sign a contract."
Iraq was asked to develop the gas field Kogas hard up alone after the company withdrew Kasmonaegas exploration and production of the Kazakh deal earlier this month after a dispute with local authorities.
Won Kogas and Kuwait Energy Company and Kuwait Turkish TPAO tender to develop the field Mansourieh actually near the Iranian border while the won and the Kuwaiti company TPAO tender to develop the La Ceiba field in the oil hub of Basra in southern Iraq.
Iraq was established contracts to develop three gas fields last year in the third round since the US-led invasion in 2003.
The consortium Mansourieh the field after the presentation to reach production of 320 million standard cubic feet per day with payment of a fee of seven dollars per barrel of oil equivalent.

He added that the earlier date was May 19 and that the goal is to extend the deadline to allow more time for companies.
