Iraq investigates decades funds for the benefit of the Military Industrialization signed before 2003

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) Iraq plans to investigate money paid during the former regime to international companies as part of the Military Industrialization contracts before 2003, as part of a program to activate the military industry after the formation of Supreme Military Industries, headed by the Minister of Industry.
The Minister of Industry Mohammed Darraji "We started to pursue and follow up the money paid for contracts mic before the year 2003," stressing that there is "unremitting efforts ongoing to recover the money, retrieval and attempts or towards the activation of those contracts in favor of the defense industry body."
The Minister of Industry and Minerals Mohammed Darraji had previously announced the formation of a supreme body for Military Industries time under his chairmanship and membership of the officials in the ministry, adding that Iraq spent an estimated 600 million dollars for the purchase of military equipment.
He also stressed the ministry's ability to re-mic experience to suit the current political system and international law.
Previously, the Minister of Industry and Minerals, owner Mohammed Darraji stressed that Iraq sought for the use of friendly states, including Germany, to revive the military industry, revealing the direct manufacture equipment and munitions of war in the ministry's laboratories.
It is noteworthy that most of the military manufacturing companies in the former regime have been resolved after 2003, or converted to a civilian self-funded companies.
The supreme religious authority had called earlier to the need to revitalize the local military industry relying on Iraqi minds and take swift and bold decision to do so being a part of the military security of the country.
