Oil prices tumbled more than two dollars to a new record low levels with the dealers to sell to take profits after a rally last week to the highest level in 11 weeks and by a report that OPEC continued to boost crude production despite the continuing oversupply.
By 17:20 GMT, the benchmark Brent crude fell $ 2.22 and more than 4% to $ 50.43 in the largest decline in percentage terms since early September.
