Kuwait FM meets US State Seceretary in Abu Dhabi
Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah met US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton(With photos) ABU DHABI, June 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah met US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday here, to discuss several issues of regional and global significance.
The two officials met on the fringes of an international meeting on Libya, including both sides.
Sheikh Dr. Mohammad and Clinton discussed regional and international political events, in addition to Kuwait's relations with Iraq in light of the Mubarak Port issue and the issue of Kuwaiti Guantanamo detainees.
Other issues included support for Libya, and Kuwait's recently announced package of KD 50 million for its people.
The Libya Contact Group meeting in Abu Dhabi is discussing the political turmoil in Libya, with the attendance of foreign ministers from over 20 nations.
