His Excellency President Jalal Talabani on Monday evening 28/11/2011 in Baghdad, Oil Minister Abdul Karim and coffee.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to develop the oil sector in the country and benefit from their resources vital in the reconstruction and advancement Baabannah infrastructure.
The Chairman commended the efforts of the Ministry's policy for the development of industry and oil production .. His Excellency stressed that oil and gas are the property of the Iraqi people .. If this oil wealth was under the former regime a curse for the people of Iraq, where oil revenues were paid to the repression and killing Iraqis .. Noting that it is required in the new Iraq is to become the blessing of wealth to the people, therefore, must be placed a wise policy and plan, modern, to exploit this wealth for the benefit of all our people. His Excellency pointed to the importance of the ratification of the draft law of oil and gas in the House of Representatives.
For his part, Mr. Minister of Oil, a brief explanation about the work of the ministry and contracts with international companies in the fields of investment, exploration and field development in different regions of the country .. He signed the final contract to establish the Basrah Gas Company, explaining that the move historic turning point in Iraq's oil industry which will provide for Iraq needs and provide the financial resources will also provide for Petrochemical Industries materials for use in the economic aspects and to produce electrical energy and other fields.
