Act to amend the law of the Supreme Iraqi Criminal Tribunal
Article I: Linked to the Iraqi Higher Criminal Court's Assembly of the Supreme Judicial and solve a Supreme Judicial Council, replaced the cabinet wherever they appear in the law. Article II: Court will continue Authority investigative one and the criminal and one for the consideration of complaints within its jurisdiction and subject to its procedures to the provisions of the Law of Criminal Procedure No. (23) of 1971, Article III: The rights the Court and the obligations and assets to the Supreme Judicial Council. Article IV: The Supreme Judicial Council, save the archive and court documents. Article V: The Supreme Judicial Council, in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers the distribution of the staff of the Court to state institutions by jurisdiction and need.
Article VI: The contracts of employment of staff associated with the Court are appointed on the permanent staffing rule of law and the Ministry of Finance on the development of grades to do so.
Article VII: The Council of Ministers to issue instructions to facilitate the implementation of this law.
Article VIII: The Supreme Judicial Council, in coordination with the Council of Ministers to issue instructions to facilitate the implementation of the provisions of this law. Article Eleven: This law shall be the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
The reasons
the submission of the President and members of the Supreme Iraqi Criminal Tribunal, due to the completion of the majority of cases related to crimes of the defunct dictatorial regime and its symbols for the purpose of continuity of the Court in its work in line with the remaining complaints and reduce the pressure on the budget that the state's public.
