Baghdad / NINA / - The legal expert, Ali Al-Tamimi, confirmed that: The government should inform the UN Security Council of Iraq's fulfillment of its full obligations regarding compensating Kuwait.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency ( NINA ) that Iraq was exempted from Chapter VII in 2017 under Security Council Resolution 2390 and entered Chapter VI due to the presence of about 4 billion and a half billion dollars related to Kuwait.
Al-Tamimi added that after Iraq has fulfilled all its obligations under Chapter VI, the government and its representative in the United Nations must notify the Security Council of this so that the Security Council will issue a decision to remove Iraq from Chapter VI and VII completely.
