The Minister of Defense Leon Panetta, Thursday, that Iraq will face significant challenges and will pass a probationary period in the coming days, referring to the United States will stand with the Iraqis to overcome them, while pointing out that Washington would not let the sacrifices and achievements in Iraq for any person trying to eliminate them.
Said Leon Panetta during the festive delivery of one of the rules of the American Central in Baghdad to the Iraqi army, said that "Iraq will pass through the coming days, the period of testing, especially in the field of economy and domestic issues and some of the claims of democracy", stressing that it "will face significant challenges in the coming period," g
Panetta said that "the United States will remain in Iraq and would be supportive of the people of Iraq and facing those selections to build a secure and stable," noting that "the United States will work to strengthen its relationship with Iraq and support its security forces."
He said Panetta that "support will continue and a page of diplomatic relations will remain and continue to work and we will keep working on the challenges faced by Iraqis with the militants and terrorists," pointing out that the U.S. will remain "and working with the Iraqis in the Middle East to build a stable Iraq."
Panetta noted that "the United States would not abandon the sacrifices and achievements to anyone trying to end the Iraqi successes," asserting that "this day is for the Iraqis who are looking for a secure and prosperous future, not the United States."
He Panetta "We are working at this moment to give this to the Iraqis and what we have done is a commitment from the United States as friends and partners give future generations a better life," noting that "the Iraqi people very close to achieving that goal, and this is not the end but the beginning."
