He added that "the Iraqi people does not need a military force has suffered greatly from the policies of the former regime." Iraq had agreed with the United States on the purchase of 18 fighter aircraft F-16 and paid in September the first installment of the price and announced during the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to Washington this week that the U.S. administration decided to sell Iraq 18 other aircraft of the same type.
