BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq's Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki has confirmed support for the Arab League's efforts to settle the
Arab problems within what he termed as the "Arab House," according to a statement issued by the Council of Ministers on
Monday.
The statement, copy of which was received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency, quoted the Iraqi Prime Minister as having confirmed,
in a phone call early on Monday with Arab League's Secretary-General, Nabil al-Arabi, on "necessity for the settlement of the Arab
problems within the 'Arab House."
It quoted al-Arabi as having called for "a more active role by Iraq to confront challenges facing he Arab Region nowadays."
