An advisor to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki for national reconciliation Amer Khuzaie, in the first conference of national reconciliation, which was held in Baghdad, Thursday, that "the movements and armed groups laid down its arms, which was carrying general of U.S. forces and is ready to engage in the political process." But those based on national reconciliation project emphasized the lack of any reconciliation with members of the Baath Party, which ruled Iraq under the previous regime on the grounds that the constitution prohibits it.
