The head of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi al-Hakim in a speech Balahtphalah organized by the Council today on the occasion of the evacuation of foreign troops from Iraq, "We bid farewell to a dark era passed by a lot of adversity and welcome a new era look to it with optimism and hope that the stage Haniyeh of this people
Has witnessed the ceremony which was held in the Office of the President of the Supreme Council of the broad participation by members of the House of Representatives, politicians and security chiefs, intellectuals, academics and others.
He added Mr. Hakim said: "We mark this day with the long-awaited by the Iraqi people to see their country free from the U.S. presence."
He explained, "We have to show that this achievement has been achieved through the sacrifices of the Iraqi people in all walks of life to get to the full sovereignty of the country."
He noted that "the solidarity and the unity of political forces in their positions need to end the foreign presence in spite of all the talk of the possibility of non-Americans out of the country played a role in this achievement."
Hakim praised the role played by the government, led by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, who "was his first role in the management of this file." He also noted that "the role of peaceful resistance, political and diplomatic groundwork had a role in that achievement."
The head of the Supreme Council that "the security agreement was peaceful and legal framework that have brought us to this day, although the present Convention and faced a lot of criticism, but it proved it was the right step to achieve this accomplishment."
He said al-Hakim said, "Today is a way station between past and future, including Nstl_khas duties for the next phase, which can be summarized to preserve the national project for the political process and the materials are in full compliance with the Constitution and a commitment to national principles."
He called the Supreme Council to the need to enhance coherence and harmony between the Iraqis and a commitment to national partnership and work to calm in the attitudes and Atbarhat political. "Stressing" the need to sit the political parties to the negotiating table to resolve differences between the political blocs and strengthen confidence among them and a commitment to promises and covenants made between them. "
Hakim praised the security forces and their role in maintaining security without which Iraq was able to dispense with the foreign presence, "calling security leaders to reconsider the flaws that lead to a repeat of security breaches." He stressed the need to give the provincial councils broad powers to enable it to serve its citizens
