A million Iraqi dinars were stolen from a car in Glastonbury on New Year's Eve. As people marked the new year one thief made off with a million Iraqi dinar, a laptop and a white Volkswagen Golf, after breaking into a home in Church Lane, Glastonbury. Although sounding an impressive amount, the money is actually worth in the region of £550. On the Somerset town's nearby high street a man was punched and kicked while he sat at a bus stop, after he wished a passing stranger good tidings for the new year.
