Erbil Jan. 7 (PNA) - The Department of Water Resources in Diyala on the completion of 50% of the dam Lalonde Southeast Khanaqin.

He added that "all rivers passing in Iraq stems from the neighboring countries, and there are agreements and negotiations between the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Water Resources with those countries to secure Iraq's water share in the common rivers with Turkey and Syria."
The River originates Lalonde with a length of about 50 km from the tops of the mountains Dalaho in the province of Kermanshah, Iran to pass in the middle of Khanaqin district (155 km north east of Baquba), then meets the River Sirwan which stems from Iran, also a confluence of two rivers Diyala River, which flows into the Tigris.
In a related context, the plan stressed the glorious summer farm in the province will include the areas that feed water from the Tigris River just easier and will cover areas that feed from the high Hamrin Dam and down depending on the availability of water stockpiling.
Diyala and announced in October last October for the approval of the Kurdistan Regional Government to increase water releases from the dam to Lake Hamrin Darbandikhan of 64 m / s to 100 m / sec.
