Baghdad (AIN)-MP Ihsan al-Awadi of the Iraqi National Alliance said “INA will not allow the issue of VP Hashimi to be discussed in the National Conference which is called for by President Talabani.”
A statement released by the media office of the Iraqi National Alliance received by All Iraq News Agency (AIN) on Monday said that “The stance of the INA is clear towards rejection of mixing the political issues with the judicially ones."
"We will not allow Hashimi's case to be addressed in the National Conference which will be held to solve the current political crisis,” he added.
President Jalal Talabani had called to hold a national conference to settle the disputes among the political blocs but some political leaders anticipated postponing this conference.
The Iraqi political arena witnesses continuous differences between State of Law Coalition SLC and IS on issues such as the arrest warrant against VP al-Hashimi, PM al-Maliki's request from the Parliament to withdraw confidence of his deputy al-Mutleg in addition to forming the Strategic Policies Council which was discussed and approved in Erbil covenant. /End/
