Baghdad (AIN) –Mp Mohammed al-Sayhoud of the State of Law Coalition ruled out possibility of starting a sectarian war in Iraq during the next stage “because the Iraqi People is aware of such conspiracies.”
In a statement to the All Iraq News Agency AIN, he said Wednesday “The enemies of Iraq wish to start a civil war in Iraq and foil the political process in Iraq, but Iraqis are away from sectarian wars.”
MP Sayhoud admitted the “serious challenges created by regional countries to fail the political process in Iraq through creating a gap between the Sunni and Shiite communities in Iraq.”
He also admitted the fabricated political crisis among the politicians to foil the political blocs, but he mentioned that “Iraqi communities and sects do not suffer from this crisis.”
Earlier, the leader of the Iraqiya Slate Ayad Allawi, Financial Minister Rafi al-Esawi and the Speaker Osama al-Nijaifi have demanded the US Government through an open letter published by the New York Times, to interfere in order to save Iraq from a possible civil war.
The Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi has stated that sectarian motives are behind issuing the arrest warrant against him. /End
