BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Legislature of the so-called "White Bloc," Alia Nuseif, has highly assessed the ratification by Iraq's Vice-President of the execution decisions against persons, condemned of having committed terrorist crimes, describing it as a "positive step," according to a statement by her office on Monday.
"The Vice-President's approval of execution decisions, issued against condemned persons who committed terrorist crimes, is a positive step," the statement, received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency, said.
"The decision will contribute to the stability of the security situation in the country, and form a strong attitude against terrorist gangs that continue their criminal activities," it added.
"The decision had also played a just position towards the relatives of the victims," Nuseif said, calling on the United Nations to "call for supporting the rights of the victims of terrorist operations, instead of demanding Iraq to stop the execution penalty."
