A member of the competent parliamentary committee that a bill of weapons assigned by the Ministry of the Interior includes 64 articles were studied carefully, including that of controls to grant licenses to carry weapons and to open other offices to sell them.

Xuan said that there is no concern of the enactment of the weapons because of the many controls that determine the quality of weapons and holders.
The deputies expressed their objections to the enactment of the weapons because they believe it will lead to flood Iraq with millions of pieces of weapons, having considered the Presidency of the Council of Representatives of those objections, and postponed the vote on the bill at the request submitted by a number of members of the committees of security, defense and legal, in preparation for the development of new controls to possess and carry a firearm, and rehabilitation of technically citizens to bear arms, and determine the age of the person authorized to possess or carry arms, and the organization of the ownership of weapons confiscated by the court decides.
In addition, varied views of citizens spoke to Radio Free Iraq on weapons possession in the home, some were advised of the disposal of weapons in the home, while others argue that the situation in general requires that no weapon in the house to face robbery and other gangs.
For his part, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs forces chock Ahmed al-Khafaji said the ministry are doing their job in the confiscation of weapons that do not carry licenses, whether in the street or during house searches, pointing to the importance of the enactment of the weapons that will determine the people who are allowed to carry weapons and possession, and sees al-Khafaji he does not have to have all the family weapons, especially as the level of criminal offenses on the decline.
