A statement issued by the Information Office of the Prime Minister received / Baghdadiya News / copy of it: that Maliki Terrace first meeting of the Supreme National Commission for water.

According to the statement, during the meeting put the appropriate mechanisms for the work of the Supreme National Committee for Water, which are functions of the Main Committee to devote the national effort to chart the course of negotiating effectively with neighboring countries to ensure the apportionment of the waters of a reasonable and equitable in the waters of Rivers and basins shared groundwater, as well as to support the effort of the Ministry of Water Resources in the operation of control systems on water resources centrally and distributed equitably among the regions and provinces, and activating the role of the judiciary in the application of laws on the protection of water resources from pollution, abuse or harm, and support projects and national research that supports the development of water sources.
The statement said: The meeting put forward the structural make up the Supreme National Committee for Water, to be chaired by the Prime Minister, and that the Minister of Water Resources as Vice Chairman of the Committee, and include membership of the ministers of agriculture, municipalities and the state of affairs of the provinces, and representatives of the Committee on Agriculture, water and marshes in the House of Representatives, Add to the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Planning and the environment, oil, electricity, industry and trade, national security adviser, and representatives from the Ministries of Defense and Interior and the Kurdistan Regional Government and the advisers.
