Dhi-Qar calls for PM visit

Baghdad (AIN) -A member of Dhi-Qar provincial council called upon the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to visit the province as he did when he visted the neighbour province, Basra, during the last two days.
Abass Latif Thigeel called upon the PM to ”put solutions for the accumlated problems among them are the increasing rate of cancer cases due to the remaining of war disposals, electricity and the mechanism for initiating a boarder entrance for the province."
He added “The province budget is incapable to improve the services or meet other needs in the province."
Maliki had visited Basra province and held a meeting for his cabinet there which is the first of its kind.
The PM announced that the meeting in Basra is foucsing on studying the obstacles facing the local government there, and emphasized that “any province facing challenges we will go to it and give it the full support and assistance." /End/
