Baghdad (AIN) –Ahrar Parliamentary Bloc revealed that the “Financial Committee in Parliament promised to “include the three demands of the Sadr Trend within the 2012 budget law draft.” MP Head of the bloc MP Baha al-Araji stated to All Iraq News Agency Wednesday “The Financial Committee did not discuss the demands of the Sadr Trend’s leader Muqtada al-Sadr publically,” noting that “During my meeting with the members of the Committee they confirmed that the budget law draft will include these demands.”
“We confirm that the Ahrar Bloc will not vote for the budget law draft if it did not contain these demands,” he added.
The leader of the Sadr Trend Muqtada al-Sadr has submitted few months ago three demands as a condition for postponing demonstrations against the Government.
These demands are related to “improving services and providing 50,000 job opportunities, continue providing local power generators with free fuel and allocating sum of money for each citizen from the oil revenues.” /End
