KARBALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi government spokesman declared today that Iraq pays greater attention to bilateral relations with Kuwait, expecting that the coming Arab Summit due in Baghdad at the end of next March will be a success.
Spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh pointed to media organs, including Aswat al-Iraq, during his visit to Karbala province showing that "the new Iraq wants to be strong with good relations with neighboring countries on bases of non-intervention in internal affairs".
He stressed that Iraq wants good relations with all regional states, including the Arab countries.
Dabbagh pointed out that there are many pending issues with Kuwait, "but we hope to resolve them".
He expressed hopes that the coming Arab Summit will be the most prominent one.
