ERBIL - Lithuania has officially voiced its readiness to boost economic and trade relations with Kurdistan and encourage its companies to move to the region.
Head of the Kurdistan Commerce and Industry Chambers Dara Jalil Khayyat said the decision was announced yesterday during a meeting between his office and a 25-member delegation from Lithuania.
A memorandum of understanding will be signed between the chambers and its Lithuanian counterpart.
The first step in the agreement will see a number of Lithuanian businessmen and women and investors in the agriculture, aviation, medicine, and animal products sectors enter Kurdistan in the near future.
