BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The head of al-Iraqiya Bloc disclosed today that his bloc will refer all national issues to the international community if the National Conference is to be postponed until after the Arab Summit.
"We stress the convocation of a national meeting to build legislative and constitutional institutions to solve pending issues," MP Salman al-Jumaili told Aswat al-Iraq.
"We reject any delay of the National Conference until after the Arab Summit as it will lead to even greater problems," he added.
"If there are trends to postpone the National Conference, then al-Iraqiya Bloc has the right to refer the questions of all Iraqi people before the world community and human rights organizations," he continued.
The head of al-Iraqiya Bloc warned last Friday that "if the political crisis is not solved, his bloc will be obliged to submit a memorandum to the Arab League to discuss the Iraqi question in its coming summit in Baghdad for to come to an appropriate solution, as it has done in the past to resolve other Arab problems".
