Former Oil Minister: Oil and Gas Law will enable the unified management of all oil installations

BAGHDAD / With: called on a former oil minister Ibrahim Bahr al-Ulum to expedite the issuance of oil and gas law, asserting that the law will enable the central government to unify management of oil installations, including those in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
Uloum said to the reporter and the news agency the future, that: "Iraq must address the policy of an oil standard and subject all oil installations for one administration, and systems consistent with the current stage, especially in the process of production and export, so that has a vision for each of these operations accurately and agreed between the the central government, local government and the Kurdistan region, and that has a unified foreign policy, and unlike all of this region have worked on the one hand and the central government on the other side. "
He said: "The country is witnessing entry of investment companies large and future plans for the productivity of future large is a heavy load in the world oil market, and therefore must be a unified vision of the oil policy, especially after eight years of change and we are still lacking, such as all of this."
Calling for "expedite the issuance of oil and gas law, because it would enable the central government to unify management of oil installations, including those in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, where the law is very useful and necessary to the economy of the country," noting that it "depends on the formation of oil a federal oversees the development process oil which decides how to contract with investment companies and contracts concluded with them, as well as control over all oil facilities in Iraq in general. " Explaining that "the draft law submitted by the government is different from the draft law submitted by the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary, and this reflects the extent of variation on the management of oil wealth."
The head of the House of Representatives and leader of the Iraqi List, Osama Najafi called in an earlier statement, "However," the Kurdistan Region's commitment to oil exports, which amounts approved by the Federal Ministry of Oil.
