Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to hold a national meeting in the first week of next April.
A source in the media office of Prime Minister Maliki called for a national meeting in the first week of next month after the summit. The national meeting called by President Jalal Talabani. It held five preparatory meetings have not been up to now determine the agenda.
On the other hand the Prime Minister expressed his objection to the amendments introduced by the Committee of the Regions and provinces in the House of Representatives on the law of the provinces, including reducing the powers and limits their ability to work and achievement and the development of its provinces.
Maliki said in a press statement that it is contrary to government policy aimed at strengthening the capacity of local governments and to increase self-reliance and manage its own affairs.
