Supreme Council: Najafi three presidencies will meet to hold a national meeting

BAGHDAD / As said the official spokesman of the Islamic Supreme Council, the Speaker of the three presidencies will call for a meeting from which to activate the national meeting.

The Maaleh Hamid told in a press statement that: "The three presidencies will call Nujaifi for a meeting from which to activate the national meeting," noting that "during the meeting and will also invite the Preparatory Committee for the resumption of work." He added that "the meeting will be held in the coming days, and this is the direction that will go to him."

The national meeting which was scheduled months ago, has been postponed because of disagreements between the blocks on the agenda, and has set up various preparatory committees, but could not reach an agreement satisfactory to all parties on the agenda or the meeting and the name of the place and time.

The last date for the meeting specified in the fifth this April and announced by both President Jalal Talabani, after consultation with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Parliament Speaker Osama Najafi and leaders of political blocs, but the masses did not succeed in agreeing on a contract to the agenda agreed, and ended up meeting of the Committee preparations in the home of Vice President of the Republic Khudair Khuzaie presence of representatives of all the blocks on Tuesday (3/4/2012) ended without any agreement ..

The Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, has expressed his rejection of the preconditions provided by any party to participate in a national meeting and said, "We want to be children of today, we do not accept conditions of entry to a national meeting."

This comes at a time announced a coalition of Iraq's refusal to attend the conference in the event of the absence of the leaders of the first row in the country, in reference to the importance of the presence of the cleric Moqtada al-Sadr and the leader of Majlisi Supreme Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, the success of the conference, as announced, leading figures in Iraq that their fractious will not attend the conference and they are demanding the implementation of the terms of Arbil.
