BAGHDAD, April 10 (AKnews) - Iraq's Transportation Ministry sent a five-member delegation of sailors to China today to receive a $14m (16.3bn IQD) ship.
The Iraqi Naval Transportation Company contracted with the China's ANT company to construct the 7,000-ton ship, said naval company director Samir al-Karkhi.
Baghdad will receive the ship in one week after the final procedures for delivering the ship are finished.
The ship will carry goods from China to Iraq and will reinforce Iraqi marine trade.
Iraq seeks to display its fleet of maritime investment, which includes nine large ships at a total value of up to $110m (128bn IQD).
