Baghdad {: News} Euphrates said President Jalal Talabani "to continue consultations and dialogues between serious political parties in order to reach a solution to outstanding issues and the dismantling of crises."
He said a presidential statement today that "Talabani received in the city of Arbil British ambassador to Iraq, Michael Aaron During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the United Kingdom."
He added, "Talabani pointed to the importance of consolidating and strengthening frameworks of cooperation and coordination between the two countries in various fields to serve the common interests".
For his part, the British ambassador, according to the statement, "Talabani thanked for their warm welcome and generous hospitality and renewed his country's desire to strengthen the close ties between the two countries and improve them," stressing "his country's support for the political process and the democratic process in Iraq."
The Ambassador praised the "role played by Talabani to calm the atmosphere and create a platform suitable for harmony and understanding national and deliver the country to safety and peace of mind." Ended
